Latest Updates from Our Project:

Surveys Coming Soon!
about 5 years ago – Fri, Feb 15, 2019 at 06:41:19 PM

Hello my favorite art lovers!

This is a long, long, ever so long update but it's important stuff so let's forge ahead!

Within the next couple of days you’ll receive an email from me with a special link to your BackerKit SURVEY. This is THE survey that's going to get the ball rolling and me painting and printing your rewards. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since I need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, JUST CLICK THE LINK TO RESPOND. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts on February 28, 2019.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on my BackerKit project page at https://intuitive-abstract-painting-to-melodious-music.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account.  If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://intuitive-abstract-painting-to-melodious-music.backerkit.com/faq.

Confused and not sure what to do? Let me know by sending me a message through Kickstarter. It's all pretty easy and straightforward so don't fret... just keep your eyes peeled for the survey from my Backerkit. Plus, this Update is going to be a permanent fixture in the Updates section of my campaign so you can refer to it if you forget something.

ONE LAST THING...

IF YOU PLEDGED A REWARD LEVEL THAT INCLUDED AN ORIGINAL PAINTING the survey is going to ask you questions about color preferences.

One of the questions is about color palette choice. You can just let me pick the palette by selecting the "Artist's Choice" option for color in your survey ~OR~ here's a little cheat sheet, below, if you're not quite sure about warm colors and cool colors and neutrals and you'd like to choose your palette.

I will also ask you for your favorite color/s in the survey so if you choose "Artist's Choice" for color palette I'll base my color palette on your favorite color/s.

Clear as mud? :) I'm here for you if you have questions.

Okay! Keep your eyes peeled for your survey - you should see it in your inbox in the next day or so.

Well look at us!

We're a success!

You guys are utterly brilliant and I'm so excited to paint something fabulously weird and wonderful for you.

From what I've been told by Kickstarter, it will take them approximately 14-days to do their thing: reviewing, processing, and collecting the pledges. Once all that important Kickstarter accounting stuff is completed I'll be sending out your surveys (which I've already begun working on). Based on Kickstarter's timeline I'm going to shoot for somewhere around February 15 ish, as the date that surveys will go out.

I'll announce in an update when the surveys go out just to give you a heads up.

Okay! That's it. Hey, is anyone watching Patriot on Amazon? It's blowing me away in a crazy amazing mind-boggling way!

Almost time :)

Hey you! I'm getting so excited! I'm preparing the order for all the mats and backing boards, cello bags and mailers. I've been practicing, most harmoniously and enthusiastically, as I await the end of the campaign and the beginning of the FUN stuff. The creating part for you. The painting, the printing, the packaging, the posting. I don't know... is the packaging and posting fun? Yes! Because it means your paintings are on their way to you.

A peek inside my art world, below. A tiny space by a big window. The music and the paint have been a brilliant antidote to the frigidly cold and gray Indiana days at the moment.

Once the campaign finalizes and the dust has settled I will be sending out surveys for those of you who have selected painting rewards. As quickly as your completed surveys come back to me I will begin painting to the strains of melodious music.

A peek at what's been going on at my art table since we last chatted... (and absolutely, if you're going with flowers for your painting it can look as weird as these guys :)

Cool stuff and warm fuzzies
over 5 years ago – Sun, Jan 13, 2019 at 08:35:50 PM

 Hey guys,

Just popping in with a cool update and to send out a bunch of truly heartfelt virtual hugs for your support. I'm stoked that I have so many kindred spirits out there who like my weird paintings.

With all the support thus far I'm able to spring for a super nice upgrade on the paper for the small prints rewards so that's awesome. The prints will now be printed on photo rag fine art inkjet paper with a lovely texture. Very painterly. Here is a closeup, below, of one of the tree prints on the new photo rag paper. See that lovely paper texture? Delicious!

And for those backers who chose the two coordinating Original Watercolor Paintings rewards which included a hand painted art card - I wanted to give you a sneak peek of those since I didn't include any photos in my original campaign information.

Hand painted art cards : you'll be able to give as a gift or frame for yourself. They are original watercolor paintings mounted to a lovely textured cardstock and include an envelope, of course. Each card is packaged in a cello sleeve as you can see, below. The cards measure 5" x 7".

I am being quite literal when I say that I've painted hundreds of little watercolors. :) I have them all over the place. You can see a tiny array of some of my paintings below the packaged art cards (pic just above). As a reminder the art card included with the two coordinating Original Watercolor Paintings reward will be selected at random.

Okay, that's it for now. Again, thank you! I'm having a ball and I haven't even gotten to the real fun of me painting some weird paintings just for YOU!

Target goal has been met!
over 5 years ago – Fri, Jan 04, 2019 at 09:36:44 AM

Hey ho! I'm so excited to announce that the target goal for this project has been reached +. I am utterly blown away!

So, because the target goal has been reached if you selected a painting reward or a print reward those paintings and prints are a go!

For backers who've selected a painting I will be sending out a survey once the project ends on February 1, seeking your subject and color preferences. Intermittent updates will be posted as we go along (I'll try to keep them brief) in the event that there are some stretch goals or additional rewards added before the project concludes.

And as I begin preparing your rewards I'll keep you updated so you know how the creation process is going on my end.

Thank you so much for backing my project! I am thrilled to be painting or printing something wonderful just for you.

Happily, Gale
